About Coast Chorale

Coast Chorale is a community choir and nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Coastal Mississippi. Since 1992, the Chorale has been dedicated to presenting concerts and preserving the tradition of choral music as a source of family-friendly entertainment. Affectionately known as “the Chorale”, it is an all-volunteer ensemble made up of singers from across the Gulf Coast. Membership is open to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and interests, with no audition required. While many members have formal training or prior choral experience, a love of singing and community is the only prerequisite.
 

The goal of the Chorale, consistent with the Coast Chorale’s mission, is to present a rich variety of choral music, free of charge, to its audiences. In addition to an Artistic Director, the group employs a piano accompanist who plays at all rehearsals and performances. When fiscally possible, the Chorale enhances the performances through contracted instrumentalists for instrumental accompaniment and soloists.
